Journey to the North Pole™ Event Safety Protocols

The following protocols have been put in place for the 2022 Journey to the North Pole™ event.  We want to ensure the safety of all guests, volunteers, staff, and of course, Santa!

Capacities on board the trains will be slightly reduced.

Picking up your event tickets:

  • One member of each party will pick up your tickets at the Will Call window at the railroad station.
  • If you would like to sit with another family on the train, you must contact our office well in advance of your departure date for your request.

Boarding the Train:

  • Que lines and spaces will be outside the stations.  Please be courteous of other families and social distance when possible.
  • Each member in your party must have their ticket in hand before boarding.
  • Guests will receive a piece of candy and have the opportunity to write a letter to Santa while aboard the train.  Hot Cocoa will not be served on the train this year.  Guests may bring their own non-alcoholic beverages for the ride if desired.  The train has a carry on/carry off policy so please be sure to not leave any additional trash behind.

At the North Pole:

  • Guests will exit the train and walk up to Santa’s Workshop.  While at the North Pole, guests are encouraged to drop off their letters for Santa at the North Pole Post Office. Guests will head into Santa’s Workshop where families will be able to sit together.
  • Santa will appear inside his Workshop and then will be outside to meet & greet all guests as they head back to the train after the performance.
  • Families are encouraged to take photos when visiting the North Pole.

Leaving the North Pole:

  • Guests will board the train on the same platforms as they exited from.  Guests will return to their exact same seats.
